On 5/22/14, at approximately 2:12 PM, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to the 2900 block of Military Rd. on report of a possible wanted fugitive being in the area. Upon their arrival they made contact with a suspect, later identified as Robert Lane (44 YOA), who was inside a residence. During contact with Lane it was determined he was in possession of pistol illegally, due to previous felony convictions, and also warrants for his arrest out of other agencies.
Lane was arrested without incident and transported to the Saline County Detention Facility for processing. He is charged with Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons along with warrants out of Bryant Police Department and the Saline County Sheriff’s Office.
