Call About Vehicle Break-Ins Turns Into Simultaneous Vehicle and Foot Pursuit

Robinson-BarnesCollage2    On 1/7/13, at approximately 4:15 AM, officers responded to Dogwood Lake Apartments (1907 Hwy 5 North) on report of three individuals breaking into vehicles in the parking lot.  Upon their arrival, one of the suspect fled from the scene in a vehicle and the other two fled on foot.  
 
    The suspect who fled in the vehicle was identified as Nicholas Barnes (18 YOA).  Barnes led officers on a pursuit that eventually ended up on I-30 towards Little Rock. He crashed the vehicle near the exit ramp to Otter Creek and was subsequently transported to a Little Rock hospital from injuries he sustained. 
 
    The two suspects who fled on foot were identified as Ubangi Robinson (19 YOA) and a 16 year old juvenile. The two were eventually located at the Bryant Wal-Mart Supercenter and were taken into custody after another short foot pursuit. At the time of his arrest, Robinson had a pistol in his possession that was reported stolen out of Pulaski County.  
 
    Robinson is charged with Breaking or Entering, Theft by Receiving, Carrying a Weapon, and 2 counts of Fleeing. The juvenile is charged with Breaking or Entering, Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and 2 counts of Fleeing. At last report Barnes was in satisfactory condition and charges will be forthcoming upon his release.
