Shoplifting Call Turns into Foot Chase and Drug Arrest

   On 10/23/13, at approximately 6:15 PM, officers responded to Wal-Mart (17309 I-30) on report of a shoplifting call.  Upon arrival, they made contact with store employees who informed them about two suspects stealing merchandise.  
    When officers tried to make contact with the two suspects they both started running and refused to stop.  Officers were able to apprehend both of them, later identified as Sherri Davis (31 YOA) and Shawn Palmer (42 YOA), after a short foot chase.  After placing them in custody, officers found illegal narcotics (meth and marijuana) and drug paraphernalia on Palmer 
 
 
    Palmer is charged with Shoplifting, Fleeing on Foot, Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine), Possession of Controlled Substance (marijuana), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Davis is charged with Shoplifting and Fleeing on Foot.  Both suspects were transported to the Saline County Detention Facility for processing without further incident.
