Convenience Store Robbery Suspects Apprehended

    On 10/26/13, at approximately 2:44 AM, officers responded to Murphy USA (17305 I-30) on report of an armed robbery.  Upon their arrival, the clerk informed them a suspect indicated they had a gun and robbed the story of an undisclosed amount of money.  

    The suspect, later identified as Michael Ray (18 YOA), fled the business prior to officers arrival on-scene.  Through their investigation, officers developed leads that led them to Ray who was subsequently placed under arrest for the robbery. Detectives were able to determine through their investigation that the clerk, identified as Anthony Honeysuckle (22 YOA), was involved in the robbery that had been planned with Ray beforehand.  
 
 
    Ray is charged with Aggravated Robbery, Theft of Property, and Use of Another Person’s Property to Facilitate a Crime.  Honeysuckle is charged with Aggravated Robbery and Theft of Property.  Both suspects were incarcerated at the Saline County Detention Facility and additional charges are possible as the investigation continues.
