BURGLARY IN PROGRESS CALL NETS ONE ARREST

TaraLarueOn 5/16/15, at approximately 10:20 AM, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to the 700 Block of Tee Street on report of a burglary in progress.  Upon their arrival, officers made contact with the complainant who informed them he thought a suspect was stealing items from a home. 
 
Officers then proceeded to check the area and located a suspect at the home who was identified as Tara Larue (33 YOA) of Mabelvale.  While investigating around the home, officers discovered a broken window and other evidence of a recent break-in.  Based on the evidence and information gathered at the scene, Larue was subsequently placed under arrest for burglary.  
 
Larue was transported to the Saline County Detention Facility for processing without incident. She was charged with Residential Burglary, Theft of Property, and 1st Degree Criminal Mischief. Additionally, Larue also had an outstanding warrant out of the Saline County Sheriff’s Office. This is an on-going investigation and additional charges could be forthcoming.
